Description
Green Power International (GPI) is hiring a Drilling Machine Operator responsible for operating drilling machinery, ensuring quality control of the operations, and maintaining and using hand tools effectively. Day-to-day tasks include setting up machines, performing routine maintenance, monitoring machine performance, and communicating effectively with team members to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage drilling rigs and associated equipment for water borehole projects
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on drilling machines
- Ensure safety standards and procedures are followed at all times
- Collaborate with the project team to meet drilling specifications and timelines
- Conduct site assessments to determine drilling feasibility
- Keep accurate records of drilling operations and materials used
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum Certificate in borehole drilling.
- Proven 2 years of experience as a driller or drilling machine operator (preferably in water/borehole drilling)
- Strong technical and mechanical knowledge of drilling equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic equipment repairs
- Physical fitness and ability to work in demanding outdoor conditions
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Team player with strong communication skills
