Mondays Hope Medical Centre is seeking an Enrolled Midwife.

Responsibilities or duties

Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to mothers and newborns. Conduct health education and counseling on maternal and child health issues. Assist in deliveries and manage uncomplicated labor cases. Monitor and record vital signs, fetal heart rates, and other relevant patient information. Administer medications and vaccinations as prescribed. Educate mothers on breastfeeding, nutrition, family planning, and infant care. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records. Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Participate in health promotion activities and community outreach programs. Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control protocols.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Academic Qualifications: Diploma in Midwifery from a recognized institution. Professional Qualifications: Valid practicing license as an Enrolled Midwife. Registration with the relevant professional health council or regulatory body. Special Skills Needed: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Dedicated, compassionate and patient-centered approach. Ability to work effectively in a team. Good organizational and record-keeping skills. Knowledge of basic emergency obstetric care. Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism.

Experience needed

Minimum of 2 years working experience in maternal and child health. Prior experience in a primary healthcare setting is advantageous.

Reporting To: Head Nurse/Medical Officer in Charge.
