POSITION OVERVIEW
The Events, Partnerships & Learning Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for designing, planning, executing, and evaluating PRAU’s events portfolio, cross-sector partnerships, and professional learning initiatives. This position will ensure that PRAU’s engagements deliver value to members, strengthen institutional reputation, and align with global PR competence frameworks and international association standards.
The role requires a forward-looking communicator with exceptional project management, stakeholder engagement, and learning design capabilities. The successful candidate will embed best practice, innovation, and impact measurementin all activities, driving PRAU’s relevance and influence locally, regionally, and internationally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Events Strategy & Delivery
- Lead the development and implementation of an annual events strategy (including signature events such as Symposiums, Awards, Policy Dialogues, Bootcamps, and Member Forums).
- Ensure high-impact planning and delivery of all PRAU events in alignment with organizational goals, member expectations, and global best practices (e.g., IPRA/AMEC standards).
- Oversee logistical planning, program content, speaker curation, sponsorship delivery, budgeting, and risk management.
- Design pre/post-event engagementtouchpoints (digital, hybrid, in-person)to amplify reach and participation.
- Monitor and evaluate event outcomes using data-driven approaches and deliver post-event reports that demonstrate impact and return on investment (ROI).
2. Partnerships & Stakeholder Management
- Establish, nurture, and institutionalize strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, industry associations, academic institutions, media houses, and regional/international PR bodies (e.g., APRA, IPRA, IABC).
- Develop partnership frameworks and MOUs that articulate mutual value, performance indicators, and governance expectations.
- Leverage partnerships to expand PRAU’s programs, resources, learning platforms, and influence.
- Serve as PRAU’s ambassador in partnership negotiations and collaboration forums, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and sector standards.
3. Learning & Professional Development
- Lead the design, curation, and delivery of PRAU’s professional development programs, including workshops, masterclasses, certification preps, bootcamps, and research dissemination events.
- Align learning offerings with international competency frameworks (e.g., IPRA Competency Framework, IABC Communication Management Professional standards, AMEC measurement principles).
- Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to deliverrelevant and practical learning experiences.
- Develop assessment tools, feedback loops, and certification pathways that support member growth and professional excellence.
4. Content & Communications Integration
- Develop compelling content(session briefs, promotional collateral, partnership proposals, reports) that supports events, learning, and partnership initiatives.
- Work with PRAU communications teams to amplify events and programs through integrated channels (social media, digital newsletters, press engagements).
- Ensure brand consistency, quality, and ethical representation of PRAU across all engagements.
5. Measurement, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Establish KPIs and performance dashboards for events, partnerships, and learning initiatives.
- Apply measurement frameworks (AMEC, Barcelona Principles 3.0) to demonstrate outcomes, member value, and strategic contribution.
- Produce periodic reports for governance (Council), members, sponsors, and partners showcasing insights and strategic recommendations.
- Promote a culture of learning, feedback, and continuous quality improvement.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Event Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in event management, strategic partnerships, and learning program delivery, preferably within a membership association, professional body, or communications agency.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-stakeholder initiatives with measurable impact.
- Strong understanding of PR industry standards and global frameworks (workshops, certifications, competency models).
- Proven expertise in sponsorship development and management.
- Familiarity with digital event platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools.
