Description
Alliance Française de Kampala (AFK) is seeking a dynamic and organized Events and Studio Manager to manage its Recording & Rehearsal Studio and support the technical and logistical production of cultural events. If you are passionate about the creative industry, event production, and studio management, this opportunity is for you.
This is a part-time, project-based position, with compensation integrated into individual event budgets. The role may evolve based on institutional needs and performance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Studio Management
- Coordinate recording and rehearsal studio operations
- Manage scheduling, equipment reservations, and availability
- Develop pricing and promote studio services
- Supervise client use and ensure professional standards
Event Production (in collaboration with the Cultural Project Manager)
- Coordinate logistics (technical teams, security, HR, housekeeping)
- Develop event timelines and retroplanning
- Supervise technical setup and on-site execution
Equipment & Technical Oversight
- Maintain updated equipment inventories
- Supervise maintenance of sound, lighting, and related assets
- Manage equipment rental and lending processes
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Experience in event production and/or studio management
- Knowledge of sound and lighting equipment
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects
- Professional, reliable, and proactive
