ABOUT KRAY MICROFINANCE
Kray Microfinance Limited is a fast-growing, territory-driven microfinance institution focused on account opening, investment and credit growth. We are strengthening our field execution and are seeking a hands-on supervisor to enforce discipline, productivity, and results across our field teams.
ROLE PURPOSE
The Field Sales & Collections Supervisor (FSCS) is a field-based leadership role responsible for supervising Field Banking Officers (FBOs) to ensure:
a) Strict adherence to gazetted territories
b) Strong daily field activity
c) Consistent account opening
d) Aggressive investment mobilisation
e) Effective collections follow-up
This role exists to translate strategy into daily field execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Field Sales Supervision
a. Supervise FBOs working within assigned territories
b. Conduct daily spot-checks to confirm field presence
c. Ensure FBOs meet daily activity targets for:
- New account opening
- Investment mobilization
- Field collections
B. Territory Enforcement
a. Enforce strict compliance with gazetted FBO territories
b. Prevent roaming, duplication, and territory conflicts
c. Validate daily field activity reports against physical presence
C. Investment Mobilization Oversight
a. Track investment commitments made in the field
b. Support FBOs in converting prospects into active customers
c. Escalate underperformance and missed opportunities early
D. Collections Supervision
a. Oversee daily collections and follow-ups
b. Verify collections through receipts, confirmations, and customer checks
c. Identify collection risks and habitual defaulters for early action
E. Field Reporting & Intelligence
a. Compile daily and weekly field performance summaries
b. Report on:
- Territory performance
- Customer feedback
- Competitor activity
c. Provide practical insights to improve products and field strategy
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years’ experience in field sales, microfinance, banking, or FMCG field supervision
- Proven experience managing or supervising field teams
- Strong understanding of customer acquisition and relationship management
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- High field discipline and integrity
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Comfortable working outdoors and moving between territories daily
- Basic reporting and data interpretation skills
