JOB DETAILS:

Our client in East Africa, a reputable and fast-growing company in the pharmaceutical and FMCG distribution sector, is recruiting for a Finance Manager for their operation in Uganda. The role is open to Ugandan locals only.  The ideal candidate will have 5-9 years of finance experience, including 3 years in a leadership role. You must also have a professional accounting certification. Excellent knowledge in Ugandan tax law and statutory regulations is mandatory. Qualified candidates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA-U, ACCA, or equivalent) is mandatory.
• 5–9 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a senior finance leadership role.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or FMCG sector is required.
• Excellent knowledge of IFRS, Ugandan tax law, and statutory regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and Excel.
