Job Advert: Finance Manager

Employment Type: Full-time

On behalf of our client, Automobile company we seek to recruit and interview for Finance Manager. The Finance Manager will oversee all financial operations of the company, ensuring sound financial management, regulatory compliance, and effective internal controls. The role requires strategic financial leadership to support business growth and profitability within the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and implementation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Manage cash flow to ensure adequate funding for vehicle procurement, operations, and capital investments.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, banking, and general ledger functions.
  • Monitor inventory financing, vehicle stock valuation, and cost of sales.
  • Ensure proper accounting for vehicle sales, spare parts, workshop operations, warranties, and after-sales services.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory obligations, and applicable accounting standards.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support pricing strategies, investment decisions, and profitability improvement.
  • Prepare financial reports and performance dashboards for senior management and the Board.
  • Manage relationships with banks, auditors, insurers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while promoting high standards of professionalism and accountability.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least three (3) years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in the automotive, motor vehicle, manufacturing, or dealership industry will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, inventory accounting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and attention to detail
