CBS PEWOSA is looking for inspired and experienced individual to join our team in the position of Finance Officer for its Butambala field office starting January 2026 for 12 Months with potential renewal based on satisfactory performance.
Duties and responsibilities
1. Financial Processing, Bookkeeping & Cash Management
- Review and verify payment and receipt documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Accurately code transactions and process account payable and receivable in the accounting system.
- Reconcile cash books and bank balances regularly.
- Monitor staff advances and expenditures to ensure timely retirement.
- Maintain well-organized financial documentation that is audit-ready.
2. Compliance, Reporting & Audit Support
- Prepare timely and accurate donor and internal financial reports.
- Monitor grant budgets and report any discrepancies.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve outstanding items.
- Compile and organize audit documentation.
- Update grant records and assist with budget modifications.
- Support payroll processing and ensure statutory compliance.
- Assist in procurement processes and contribute to financial training for staff and partners.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration -Professional certification ACCA/CPA (Level 2+) is an added advantage
