Role Description
The Franchise Partner role is a contract position based in Kampala with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work-from-home flexibility. Franchise Partners will manage and grow their assigned YooKatale franchise territory, oversee daily operations, and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery to both home and commercial clients. Responsibilities include implementing YooKatale’s brand and operating standards, coordinating local marketing activities, managing finances and reporting, and driving sales performance. The role involves recruiting and training local team members where needed, building relationships with suppliers and customers, and actively promoting YooKatale’s mission of making food accessible and connecting communities to healthy food. Franchise Partners collaborate closely with YooKatale’s central team to align local strategies with overall company goals and maintain compliance with franchise agreements and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong franchising and ownership skills, with experience managing or operating a business unit or franchise preferred.
Candidates should possess training and team development skills, including the ability to onboard, guide, and support local staff or partners.
Candidates should possess finance and basic accounting skills, such as budgeting, cash-flow management, and financial reporting.
Candidates should possess sales and customer relationship skills, including prospecting, negotiation, and customer retention.
Experience in food, retail, or service industries in Uganda or similar markets is highly beneficial.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.
Comfort with digital tools and mobile platforms; willingness to learn YooKatale’s systems and processes.
Demonstrated alignment with YooKatale’s values of customer focus, respect, authenticity, curiosity, simplicity, and perseverance.
