Role Overview:

The Grants & Proposal Development Officer will support MHA in identifying funding opportunities, drafting competitive technically strong, fundable program proposals, and coordinating with technical teams to secure new grants and partnerships ensuring donor compliance, and integrating evidence-based research into concept development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct donor and grant opportunity mapping.
  • Draft, edit, and package concept notes and proposals.
  • Work with technical teams to align proposals with programmatic priorities.
  • Track donor calls and deadlines and ensure timely submissions.
  • Maintain a database of donors, opportunities, and partnerships.
  • Support report writing and grant compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Economics, or related field (Master’s is an added advantage).
  • At least 5 years’ experience in proposal writing, donor engagement, or grants management.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure grants or contracts.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and analytical research skills.
  • Familiarity with different donor systems.
  • Fluency in French for the candidate applying for Francophone
