  • Role: Key finance operations and analytical position for Mauritius-based holding entities.
  • Focus: Financial integrity, regulatory coordination, and group-level analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Bookkeeping

  • Develop and maintain accounting policies/SOPs compliant with IFRS, Group standards, and Mauritius regulations.
  • Manage accrual and cash-based financial records, sub-ledgers, and trial balances.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and reconcile intercompany transactions.
  • Maintain trackers for investments, loans, and technical assistance grants.
  • Support internal/external audits and ensure timely data submission.
  • Prepare reports for investors, lenders, and grant providers.
  • Oversee supplier payments and debtor collections.
  • Streamline payment processes with AML compliance.
  • Manage group finance filing systems and propose structural improvements.

Administrative & Secretarial Coordination

  • Liaise with company secretaries for statutory compliance (FSC, MRA filings, license renewals).
  • Maintain compliance checklists and mirror records (share registers, board resolutions, contracts).
  • Coordinate shareholder/board resolution documentation.
  • Administer dividend payment processes and legal documentation.

Group-Level Support & Analysis

  • Provide financial/operational analysis across the group.
  • Engage with banks for competitive rates (fixed deposits, forex) and support treasury operations.
  • Assist in group-wide initiatives, systems improvements, and strategic reporting.
  • Optimize processes for efficiency and compliance.
  • Support contracting processes and maintain key documentation.
  • Collaborate with Country Finance leads, MDs, auditors, and investors.
  • Assist in investor materials, fundraising, and due diligence.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance operations.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Mauritius FSC, MRA requirements.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced Excel and accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, Xero, DEAR).
    • Ability to structure workflows and improve systems.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Detail-oriented, strong time management, and communication.
    • Proactive problem-solver with high professionalism and confidentiality.
