With six years of hands-on experience, we are proud to be Africa’s most seasoned provider of electric motorcycles and battery swaps. Zembo is committed to delivering affordable, clean, and reliable mobility solutions that power a sustainable future for African cities.

Role Summary

Looking for a driven Growth and Partnership Manager to spearhead strategic collaborations that expand our footprint of battery swap stations and garages, and grow our EV user base. You will be responsible for identifying and closing partnership ( Garage and Station setup) opportunities that enable physical and operational scale in Uganda and surrounding markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partnership Development: Identify, negotiate, and onboard partners for setting up new stations, charging points, and garage/service facilities.
  • Network Expansion: Design and execute plans to expand station and garage coverage aligned with rider growth and city expansion priorities.
  • User Base Growth: Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to drive user acquisition through new partnerships, local campaigns, and incentives.
  • Franchise & B2B Models: Develop and execute models for franchise stations or third-party operators (e.g., fuel stations, garages) to operate battery swap or service points.
  • Relationship Management: Manage and nurture key partner relationships to ensure mutual growth, operational success, and alignment on goals.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with tech, operations, sales, and finance teams to ensure partner solutions are scalable, cost-effective, and aligned with company strategy.
  • Reporting & Performance: Track KPIs around partnerships, internal team, new sites activated, user growth, and station utilization. Report progress and recommend course corrections where needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong Analytical Skills to assess markets, evaluate performance data, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent Communication skills for engaging partners, preparing clear presentations, and collaborating with internal teams.
  • Demonstrated Growth Hacking experience to design, test, and optimize innovative growth strategies.
  • Sales capabilities to identify opportunities, build relationships, and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Project Management skills to plan, coordinate, and deliver partnership and growth initiatives on time.
  • Experience in mobility, energy, fintech, or related sectors is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and engaging with diverse stakeholders, including riders and financial partners.
