Job Summary

The HR Manager is responsible for leading the Human Resources function by developing and implementing HR strategies that support organizational objectives. The role oversees recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, learning and development, compliance, and employee engagement while ensuring adherence to Ugandan labour laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Lead and supervise the HR department and provide guidance to HR team members.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and workforce planning.
  • Develop and monitor HR policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Drive employee engagement and organizational culture initiatives.
  • Lead performance management and succession planning processes.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, and payroll coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Manage employee disciplinary processes, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Prepare HR reports, budgets, and workforce analytics for management.
  • Coordinate training, leadership development, and talent management initiatives.
  • Support management in organizational restructuring and change management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree is an added advantage.
  • Professional HR certification (CHRP, CIPD, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Relevant years of HR experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing or a multinational organization is an added advantage.
