Description
Human Capital Business Solutions Ltd is hiring a competent and experienced Head Human Resources to provide strategic leadership of the Human Resource function, ensuring alignment with the Bank’s overall business strategy. The role is responsible for driving organizational effectiveness, talent management, culture transformation, and compliance with labour laws and banking regulations. The incumbent will position the Bank as an employer of choice while building a high-performance, engaged, and future-ready workforce.
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
Main Duties and Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement the HR strategy aligned to the Bank’s corporate strategy.
- Drive organizational culture transformation to align employee behaviors, values, and performance with strategic objectives.
- Advise executive leadership on HR trends, risks, and workforce planning.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead workforce planning, recruitment, and selection processes.
- Ensure timely acquisition of skilled talent to meet business needs.
- Strengthen employer branding and retention strategies to reduce staff turnover.
Performance & Talent Management
- Oversee performance management systems ensuring fairness, consistency, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead succession planning and leadership development programmes.
- Build a strong internal talent pipeline for critical roles.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Manage employee relations, grievances, disciplinary processes, and dispute resolution.
- Promote employee engagement and an inclusive workplace culture.
- Strengthen communication channels between management and staff.
Learning & Development
- Develop and implement learning and development strategies.
- Promote continuous learning and capability development.
- Oversee leadership development and career progression frameworks.
Compensation & Benefits / Compliance
- Oversee compensation structures and salary benchmarking to ensure competitiveness and fairness.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, banking regulations, and HR policies.
- Manage audit findings and ensure timely closure of HR compliance issues.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Academic Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related field.
- Master’s degree or MBA (HR specialization preferred).
- Postgraduate Diploma in HR (added advantage).
Professional Certifications
- CIPD, SHRM, HRMAU membership or equivalent professional HR certification (advantageous).
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years’ HR experience.
- At least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
- Experience in HR transformation environments.
- Strong exposure to talent management, performance management, reward systems, and organizational culture development.
