To provide leadership and strategic management to Retail Banking, ensuring the achievement of the bank’s mission, vision, and set targets.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team to ensure professional growth and business success.
  • Drive business growth by generating new account relationships across segments: Personal Banking, SME Banking, Consumer Lending, and Remittances.
  • Maximize revenue and profit by managing overall business relationships.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve optimal revenues and market expansion.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities to enhance customer loyalty and engagement.
  • Monitor market trends, opportunities, and threats to increase the bank’s market depth.
  • Execute product marketing and sales strategies for country branches.

Product Management:

  • Oversee product budgets, business plans, and marketing strategies to meet business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with product policies, risk limits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize structures and systems to service existing customers and attract new ones.
  • Analyze product performance reports and recommend improvement strategies.
  • Guide product marketing units for successful launches and sustenance of initiatives.
  • Advise the Executive Director on new business opportunities and financial strategies.

Key Competency Requirements:

Education:

  • First degree in any discipline from a reputable university.
  • Professional qualification in banking or accounting (added advantage).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years in Retail Banking.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Strong business development and relationship management.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and people management skills.
  • Proficiency in IT and performance measurement.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and knowledgeable about the business environment.
