Description
Kilimo Trust is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to provide support to the Human Resources function. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in human resource management within a dynamic, East Africa–based Non-Governmental Organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide support in the Recruitment, Selection, and Onboarding process.
- Assist in maintaining and updating Employee Records, Databases, and HR filing systems.
- Assist in coordinating Staff Training, Performance Management, and Employee Engagement Activities.
- Support the administration of HR policies, Procedures, and Compliance requirements.
- Assist in drafting Contracts, Letters, and Reports.
Technical & Behavioral Competence Requirements
- Basic understanding of recruitment procedures
- Basic understanding of the Employment laws in Uganda
- Ability to support the Human Resource Information system
- Good Communication & Interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, attention to detail, and professionalism
- Ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels.
Educational Qualifications and Experience Required
- First Class or Upper Second Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management/ Organization Psychology, or other related fields.
- Basic knowledge of HR principles and practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Previous internship or volunteer experience in the Human Resources Department
