Job Purpose
Lead the growth of the company's Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) business by developing sales strategies, expanding the customer base, managing key accounts, and achieving sales, revenue, and profitability targets while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to increase LPG sales across retail, commercial, industrial, and institutional customers.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual LPG sales volume and revenue targets.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the company's LPG market share.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, resellers, and key corporate customers.
- Develop a thorough understanding of customer needs and provide appropriate LPG solutions.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and periodic performance reports.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends and recommend appropriate business strategies.
- Work closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely LPG deliveries and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with LPG safety standards, petroleum regulations, and company policies.
- Lead, coach, supervise, and motivate the LPG sales team to achieve performance targets.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly to maintain long-term business relationships.
- Coordinate promotional campaigns, exhibitions, and customer engagement activities.
- Monitor receivables and support timely debt collection from customers.
- Develop new business practices and recommend improvements to enhance sales performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, Petroleum Studies, or a related field.
- Professional sales or marketing qualifications are an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in LPG, petroleum, FMCG, or energy sales, with supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Valid driving permit is an added advantage.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong knowledge of the LPG industry and petroleum market.
- Business development and key account management.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Customer relationship management (CRM).
- Leadership and team management.
- Sales forecasting and market analysis.
- Financial and commercial awareness.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- LPG sales volume achieved.
- Revenue and gross profit growth.
- Number of new customers acquired.
- Customer retention rate.
- Market share growth.
- Collection of outstanding receivables.
- Customer satisfaction levels.
- Team performance against sales targets.
