What is your role?
Coordinate mechanical maintenance across all plant areas, ensuring that machinery and equipment operate efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime. The role supports production by conducting inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance while adhering to safety and operational standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Mechanical Maintenance; Perform preventive, corrective, and utility maintenance in both production and non-production areas to reduce downtime and extend machine life.
- Respond to Maintenance Requests; Act swiftly to resolve mechanical issues reported by production or utility teams, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Support Plant Projects; Contribute to installation, modification, and commissioning activities from a mechanical perspective during plant projects and expansions.
- Supervise Utility Equipment; Monitor and maintain generator engines, compressors, and other utility machines to ensure continuous service and reliability.
- Calibrate and Maintain Critical Systems; Check and validate calibration of laboratory equipment and weighbridge systems in accordance with operational and regulatory standards.
- Monitor Equipment Performance; Track machine efficiency, identify trends or anomalies, and escalate issues to the Maintenance Manager when required.
- Maintain Equipment Records; Update machine cards, inspection logbooks, and prepare reports for all equipment inspected, maintained, or repaired.
- Ensure Tool & Equipment Readiness; Keep all maintenance tools and equipment clean, serviced, and in ready-to-use condition.
- Enforce Health, Safety & Environmental Standards; Follow HSE procedures, correct unsafe conditions or behaviours, and report them to management. Ensure safety of team members and promote a hazard-free workplace.
- Maintain a Clean Work Environment; Ensure all work areas are clean, tidy, and well-organized, and that emergency equipment is always available and functional.
Qualifications and requirements
- Experience 2 years as mechanical supervisor Feed production process
- Familiar with feed industry
- The principle and management of machine maintenance
- Work Experience in feed production process.
