POSITION: Medical Officer (Locum)
Job Summary:
The Medical Officer (Locum) is responsible for providing high-quality medical care by diagnosing, treating, and managing patients while ensuring compliance with professional and ethical healthcare standards during the assigned locum period.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients.
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans.
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Provide emergency and outpatient medical care.
• Maintain accurate patient medical records.
• Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
• Promote preventive healthcare and patient education.
• Adhere to medical ethics and healthcare regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent.
• Registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council (UMDPC).
• Valid practicing license.
• Previous clinical experience is an added advantage.
