Makerere University has received funding from the Governments of Uganda and South Korea to implement the Improvement of Makerere University Project. Makerere University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the various project staff positions.

Responsibilities or duties

Role: Manage the monitoring, evaluation, and reporting function of the project.

Responsibilities

  • Timely preparation of the project’s regular progress reports.
  • Continuous assessment of project risks and remedial actions.
  • Track procurement planning and reporting.
  • Organize periodic evaluation meetings with the relevant stakeholders regarding the progress of the activities, the challenges encountered, and possible solutions;
  • Timely reporting to the Supervisor.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Competencies

  • Good Communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficient in using relevant computer packages;
  • Teamwork and team building;
  • Excellent in writing reports.
  • High integrity

Experience needed

At least five (5) years of experience in a similar role in a public or private organization.

Applicants must be Ugandans.

Applicants for all positions must not exceed 55 years of age at the time of application.

Academic qualifications must be from recognized academic institutions.

Terms of employment will be on a contract basis of 2 years.
