Background

Dalilang Foods & Beverages is a Ugandan FMCG manufacturer producing packaged snacks, including potato crisps, gonja chips, coated peanuts and peanut butter, alongside spring water, fruit nectars and energy drinks.

Job Description

Deliver regional wholesale sales growth, expand market share, and strengthen commercial reach throughout Gulu, Lira, Soroti, Mbale, and Jinja.

Oversee distributor operations, spearhead stockist recruitment, and maintain effective credit management across the Northern and Eastern territories.

Provide operational leadership to the regional sales team while coordinating supply availability, customer service continuity, and regulatory and company compliance.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive wholesale sales targets and market expansion across regional distributor networks in Gulu, Lira, Soroti, Mbale, and Jinja.
  • Recruit, onboard, and manage regional distributors and stockists in line with established company standards and commercial criteria.
  • Oversee distributor credit management and ensure strict adherence to approved credit terms, transaction limits, and financial risk controls.
  • Supervise regional field sales personnel, assigning daily priorities, evaluating performance, and addressing operational performance gaps promptly.
  • Coordinate long haul supply distribution and stock availability with supply chain, logistics, and warehousing teams to prevent stockouts and service delays.
  • Resolve customer escalations, stock deviations, and service failures swiftly while safeguarding product integrity, quality, and workplace safety standards.
  • Enforce commercial discipline, preventing unauthorized workarounds and ensuring consistent application of company sales policies, pricing rules, and inspection routines.
  • Maintain complete, legible, and traceable commercial records, sales logs, incident reports, and customer account documentation for audit and management reviews.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with finance, logistics, and quality assurance departments to resolve downstream operational issues and support end to end service delivery.

Education Qualifications & Experience

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Commerce, Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain, Procurement and Logistics, Operations Management, or related commercial disciplines.
  • Higher Diploma or Ordinary Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Logistics, or a closely related field coupled with demonstrated commercial supervisory capability.
  • Relevant professional certifications, UBTEB/TVET credentials in business management, sales, or supervisory leadership, or equivalent accredited qualifications obtained outside Uganda.

  • 5+ years of experience driving regional sales in Northern or Eastern Uganda.
