Notice Of Display of the Draft Supplementary Property Valuation List Under Section 14, 15, 16 Of the Local Governments Rating Act, Cap 140 Tender at Makindye Ssabagabo Municipality

In accordance with the provisions of the Local Governments (Rating) Act, Cap 140, notice is hereby given to the general public that: -

  1. The draft supplementary property valuation list for Makindye Ssabagabo Municipality, in the 3 Municipal Divisions of Bunamwaya, Masajja and Ndeije has been completed.
  2. A copy of the draft valuation list is available for inspection for a period of thirty (30) days at the three (3) Municipal Division Offices and all Cells from the 22th May 2025.
  3. A person may take a copy (ies) and extract(s) from the draft supplementary valuation list upon payment of a relevant fee.
  4. Any person who is aggrieved by: -
    i). the inclusion of any ratable property in the draft supplementary valuation list; or
    ii). by any value ascribed in the draft supplementary valuation list to a ratable property; or
    iii). by any other statement made or omitted to be made in the draft supplementary valuation list with respect to any ratable property; or
    iv). in the case of a building or proportion of a building occupied in parts, by the valuation in the draft supplementary valuation list of that building or portion of a building as a single ratable property, may, within thirty (30) days of publication of this notice, serve notice of objection upon the local government to the draft supplementary valuation list in relation to the ratable property.

IMPORTANT:

A person shall not be entitled to be heard by the valuation court unless; he or she had lodged a notice of objection using the prescribed form, attached all the relevant evidence and within the stipulated time.
