Job Information

The Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA) is established under the PPDA Act Cap 205 to develop standards and regulate procurement and disposal practices in respect of all Procuring and Disposing Entities which include Central Government Ministries and Departments, Local Governments, State Enterprises, Constitutional and Statutory Bodies and post primary training institutions.

The PPDA is seeking to recruit qualified, competent and highly motivated Ugandans to fill the position of Officer Customer Service.

Job Title : Officer Customer Service

Reports to : Senior Officer Customer Service

Department : Office of the Executive Director

Department Head : Executive Director

Location : PPDA Headquarters

Job summary:

To promote a positive brand impression of the Authority through exceptional customer service delivery at the Front Desk, online or on the telephone.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the development of the annual Public and Corporate Affairs Plan for Authority and ensure its effective implementation,
  • Support the development and implementation of the Authority’s Stakeholder Engagement Plan,
  • Support regular contact with politicians, political advisers, civil servants, non-departmental public bodies or regulators to keep them informed about the organization’s work and policy concerns,
  • Support in organizing and attending regular meetings with stakeholders, representing their organizations and forging contacts with key decision-makers,
  • Support internal forecasts of the likely effect of public policy changes on their organization,
  • Support the Management of PPDA’s social media platforms and ensure visibility and active engagement on line,
  • Support effective implementation of quality internal stakeholders’ engagement and communication across the Authority,
  • Support the preparation of newsletters, press statements and newspaper articles for the Executive Director and/or any other Executive who is going to interact with the Public, and
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

EDUCATIONALREQUIREMENTS

A Bachelors’ Degree with Honours in any field.

JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE& KNOWLEDGE

A minimum of 1 year working experience in a similar role in a reputable organization.

  • Very good Report writing skills, and
  • High level of problem-solving skills
