Job Summary

To monitor and regulate the development and operation of pipelines and other transmission modes for petroleum to ensure facilities are designed, constructed, operated, and maintained in a safe and secure manner.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Monitor and regulate all activities related to development and operation of petroleum pipelines.
  2. Review and evaluate plans and engineering designs related to development and operation of pipelines and related facilities.
  • Participate in the preparation of documentation and review of periodic progress reports and submissions.
  1. Contribute to the development and implementation of operational guidelines and manuals for petroleum pipelines.
  2. Undertake a review of technical reports submitted by licensees for petroleum pipelines and related facilities.
  3. Provide technical support in the review of the country’s legislation for petroleum pipeline operations.
  • Review and evaluation of codes and standards for pipelines and related

facilities. viii.    Maintain records of pipeline activities.

  1. Facilitate the administration agreements and contracts related to petroleum pipelines.
  2. Undertake any other assignments as may be directed from time to time

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 

Basic Qualifications

An Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any Physical Science.

 

Experience

Three (3) years of relevant working experience.

Added advantage

Working experience in the Oil & Gas sector

 

Character & Competencies

i. Risk Management. ii. Analytical skills. iii. Innovative.

  1. High level of integrity.
  2. Communication and report writing skills.

Interpersonal skills.
