The PPC, at the EV 2-Wheeler Assembly Plant is a critical role that ensures the efficient and timely movement of finished goods from the production line to the end customer. This individual will manage the production planning, dispatching, and logistics operations, including transportation, inventory management, and shipping activities. The manager will coordinate across various departments to ensure seamless dispatch processes, optimize supply chain operations, and maintain compliance with plant policies and industry standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, commerce or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, control or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of production planning and control (PPC) systems and logistics operations.
  • Proficient in SAP and other inventory management systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage production schedules aligned to demand and inventory, coordinating teams to ensure material availability, timely manufacturing, and on-time delivery of finished goods against committed customer order deadlines.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely dispatch, oversee packaging and labelling accuracy, and manage finished goods inventory with full traceability to guarantee secure, compliant, and efficient shipment execution.
  • Manage end-to-end logistics operations, oversee transport contracts with cost-effective carriers, and supervise shipping activities to ensure safe, compliant, and timely delivery to distribution centres and customers.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and availability of finished goods inventory, applying warehousing best practices to prevent stockouts, minimize excess inventory, and maintain high inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate shipping documentation and invoicing with accounts, ensuring accuracy of bills, packing lists, and customs paperwork to support compliant dispatch, billing accuracy, and smooth customer deliveries.
  • Manage all SAP finished goods transactions, ensuring real-time accuracy, resolving variances between physical stock and system records, and maintaining reliable inventory traceability across dispatch operations.
  • Ensure dispatch and logistics operations comply with plant policies, quality standards, and regulations, coordinating with quality teams to meet all packaging, labelling, and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, sales, and customer service teams, acting as logistics focal point to align timelines, resolve bottlenecks, and proactively address customer and operational issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in dispatch and logistics, identifying inefficiencies, optimizing costs, and implementing process enhancements to improve service levels, speed, and overall operational efficiency.
