Uganda Girl Guides Association (UGGA) is a voluntary organization, non-political, without any discrimination to creed, race or any other circumstance. The Association is a member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) since 1984. WAGGGS is the largest voluntary organization dedicated to girls and young women in the world, supporting over 10.2 million individual girls and young women across 152 countries to realize their fullest potential as responsible citizens of the world. We provide non formal education programs and trainings through the core and fundamental principles of guiding.
With funding from SIDA through IOGT-NTO movement UGGA is going to implement a project on Alcohol Harm Prevention in the districts; Kumi / Pallisa / Rukiga / Kabale from 2025-2028 and work closely with the District Education and Health office and Department of Community Services.
Job Purpose:
In this role you will oversee tasks delegated to you by the Project Coordinator, coordinate with all necessary vendors and service providers in Kumi / Pallisa / Kabale / Rukiga, and ensure that the project is moving forward on time and on budget. You will need to be highly organized, adaptable, and able to prioritize tasks while working independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supervising project activities and teams in the districts; Kumi / Pallisa / Kabale / Rukiga and ensuring that all issues related to the project are clarified and completed
- Liaise with all project stakeholders in the district of Kumi / Pallisa / Kabale / Rukiga and keep them engaged
- Collect reports and detailed budgets from field teams.
- Coordinate and oversee vendor performance to ensure timelines and quality.
- Maintain automated databases to report and comply.
- Develop reports and correspondence independently.
- Coordinate with project teams on tasks as per objectives
Qualifications
- A Hons. Bachelor degree in either Education, Management Studies, Business Administration (Management option), Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related qualifications obtained from a recognized Institution.
- Postgraduate qualification in Management or Project Management is an added advantage.
- Must have had over 2 years working experience from a reputable organization is desired
- Project management skills will be an added advantage
- Fluency in English and Local Language
