Quality Plastics (U) LTD is hiring one (1) self driven and innovative Quality Controllers, who will play a crucial role in maintaining quality standards by approving incoming materials, in process production, and finished products, recording quality results and generating reports.
Responsibilities or duties
Key Responsibilities
• Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials in accordance to the system requirement.
• Communicate the importance of meeting product/food safety requirement to all staff in production area.
• Approve in process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor and removal of non conforming products with the aim of ensuring the process delivers its intended result/output.
• Approves finished products by confirming specifications, labeling of products for easy identification, traceability and segregating of non conforming products.
• Approves finished products by confirming specifications, labeling of products for easy identification and traceability, segregating of non-conforming products.
• Assist to ensure work environment, equipment and PPE used in production are clean and free from contamination.
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing nonconforming products and waste inputting data into quality database.
• Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions, calling for repairs and calibrations when required.
• Reports quality problems or findings to production manager and follows up to ensure that corrective action has/will take place.
• To report on systems performance and opportunity for improvement.
• Maintains record of inspections and prepares list of defects, interacts with other departments to ensure compliance with specification and to facilitate the acceptance of parts.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
• To uphold the integrity of systems when changes are planned and implemented.
• Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Quality Controller – Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma (Science technology chemistry, chemical engineering, industrial chemistry, science technology physics, polymer science, science education (physics or chemistry).
• Knowledge of quality standards (ISO) with the ability to learn them will be an added advantage.
• Attention to detail, with the ability to identify defects, errors.
• He should be fluent in English both (Spoken and written).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• A Good Team player with a positive and supportive attitude.
Experience needed
• Minimum of 1 year experience in in manufacturing as QA or QC laboratory.
