B JOB DESCRIPTION
B1 Overall purpose of the job.
Responsible for performing X-ray and ultrasound (USG) examinations in accordance with established protocols, safety standards, and hygiene measures, ensuring patient privacy and contributing to improved health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care & Imaging Perform safe, high-quality radiographic and ultrasound imaging to support diagnosis and treatment. Prepare patients by explaining procedures, compiling medical history, and ensuring confidentiality.
- Radiation & Safety Compliance Enforce radiation safety protocols, including protective equipment use and safeguarding vulnerable groups (e.g., pregnant women). Maintain hygiene standards in imaging rooms and equipment.
- Equipment & Inventory Management Conduct routine equipment checks, cleaning, and minor maintenance; report malfunctions promptly. Manage stock inventory and requisition supplies through the pharmacist.
- Quality Assurance & Reporting Audit own practice and ensure equipment functionality. Collect accurate data and submit timely reports (electronic and paper).
- Professional Conduct & Development Uphold ethical standards in line with AHPC/AEC/MOH/KSL codes of conduct. Attend continuous professional training and maintain CME records.
- Leadership & Supervision Provide mentorship, set clear objectives for direct reports, and conduct performance evaluations. Enforce disciplinary processes per KSL policy.
C Knowledge, qualifications & Experience
C1.1 Education: A minimum of a Diploma in Radiography from a recognized Institution and a certificate of registration with the Allied Health Professional Council.
C1.2 Experience, Skills and Competences:
2 years of radiography experience is required Social psychology and counseling, good communication interpersonal skills
- Perform safe, high-quality radiographic and ultrasound imaging to support diagnosis and treatment.
