Position: Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Mondays Hope Medical Centre – Senene, Mpigi

Academic Qualifications:

Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.

Professional Qualifications:

Valid registration and practicing license with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.

CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification will be an added advantage

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years working experience in a clinical setting, preferably in primary healthcare or outpatient care.

Prior experience with patient assessment, wound care, and health education.

Special Skills Needed:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Dedicated, compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

Good organizational and time-management skills.

Proficiency in electronic medical records and basic computer applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and record medical histories.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.

Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive care.

Monitor and observe patient progress and report any changes to the medical team.

Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.

Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and health and safety standards.

Participate in health promotion and community outreach programs.

Support the implementation of clinic policies and procedures.

Reporting To:

Medical Officer in Charge
