The World Health Organization (WHO) Uganda is in the process of recruiting individual consultant to provide technical and coordination support for activities related to the implementation of the Tobacco Control Act and Regulations in Uganda.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Essential Education requirements

Advanced degree (master’s or higher) in Public Health, or a related field.

Essential Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in health program management.
• Knowledge of WHO FCTC and MPOWER
• Tobacco surveillance data analysis
• Experience working with government institutions and development partners.
• Technical writing for WHO reports, donor proposals, and policy briefs
• Management of grants and multi-partner projects.

Desirable Experience

• Tobacco taxation and health economics.
• Policy and legislative analysis.
• Understanding of industry
• Interference and Article 5.3 implementation.
