RHSP is seeking two Research Assistants to support a pilot randomized controlled trial evaluating peer-delivered, home-based PrEP care for rural female sex workers. The successful candidates will support participant recruitment, screening, informed consent, enrolment, randomization and follow-up while coordinating home- and clinic-based study activities and supervising Peer Workers delivering home-based PrEP services.
The role will also involve participant retention and tracing, research data collection, urine sample handling, quality assurance, PrEP commodity monitoring, study documentation, and reporting of adverse events or protocol deviations. Research Assistants will additionally support study budgeting, participant reimbursements, financial accountability, and reporting. Candidates should understand HIV prevention and PrEP care, have experience working with populations at elevated risk for HIV, communicate effectively in English and Luganda, and be able to travel regularly by motorcycle to study communities.
