JOB DETAILS:

Makerere University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for various academic, administrative, and support staff positions.

Responsibilities or duties

Monitor water levels in the tank to determine amount of water to be pumped to maintain specific levels of water for distribution to the entire University;

Clean water tanks and remove algae and other physical impurities from the tanks;

Operate the University generator to pump water into the tank;

Report any mechanical faults on the water pump and generator to the Supervisor;

Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Certificate in plumbing or an equivalent certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
