Quality Plastics (U) LTD is hiring a self-driven and innovative SHEQ Assistant (Safety Health Environment & Quality) who will play a crucial role in ensuring that the organization complies with health, safety, environmental, and international standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support: Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the SHEQ Coordinator in implementing and maintaining safety, health, environmental, and quality programs.
- Documentation Assistance: Assist in the management of documentation related to safety, health, environmental, and quality compliance, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and accessibility.
- Training Support: Assist in organizing and delivering training sessions on safety, health, environmental, and quality procedures for employees, in accordance with ISO and FSSC standards.
- Inspection Assistance: Support in conducting regular inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with ISO, FSSC, and local certification requirements.
- Incident Response: Provide assistance in investigating workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and contribute to the development and implementation of corrective actions as per ISO and FSSC standards.
- Supplier and Contractor Compliance: Liaising with Procurement to ensure suppliers and contractors comply with ISO, FSSC, and local certification requirements, facilitating smooth collaboration and adherence to standards.
- Data Management: Assist in collecting, analysing, and reporting data related to SHEQ performance, supporting the preparation of reports for management review and continuous improvement efforts.
- Regulatory Awareness: Stay informed about changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to safety, health, environment, and quality, supporting ongoing compliance efforts.
- Performing any other duties as may be assigned by management.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Chemistry, Food Processing, Environment Science or Natural Resources from a recognized institution.
- Should have ISO Certificates as internal or Lead Auditor in ISO 9001, FSSC-V6.0, ISO 22000, ISO 14001 with 2 years experience.
- Knowledge in ISO, FSSC 22000, NEMA, UNBS, Occupational health and safety, Standard requirements.
- Computer literate and ability to use computer programmes i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Working experience in a manufacturing setup will be an added advantage.
- Good communication skills, proactive thinking with an enthusiastic character towards work.
- A good team player with a high level of integrity, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good planning and organizational skills.
