Role Overview

The Sales and Marketing role is pivotal in driving our mission forward by engaging with clients and optimizing product exposure. You will be part of a dynamic team of two, reporting directly to the Human Resource Manager. This part-time position is based on-site in Kansanga, Kampala.

Position Details

• Employment Type: Part-time 
• Location: Kansanga, Kampala 
• Reporting Structure: Reports to Human Resource Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Negotiate with retail merchants to improve product exposure, including shelf positioning and advertising. 

2. Check stock levels and reorder merchandise as necessary. 

3. Plan, assemble, and stock product displays in retail stores, and provide recommendations for promotional programs. 

4. Answer customer inquiries regarding products, prices, availability, and terms. 

5. Recommend products based on customer needs and interests. 

6. Estimate or quote prices, credit terms, warranties, and delivery dates.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Sales and Marketing or related fields 
• Experience: 3-5 years in sales and marketing 
• Skills: Active Listening, Persuasion, Critical Thinking, Active Learning, Time Management 
• Knowledge: Sales and Marketing, Customer and Personal Service, Computers and Electronics 
• Technology Knowledge: Proficient in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (Microsoft Word), and Graphics/Photo Imaging software (Adobe) 
• Language Proficiency: English and Luganda
