About this offer
Details:
- Start Date: Q2 2026
- Location: Kampala, Uganda
- Duration: 12 months (with possible extension)
- Work schedule: 5 days per week or depending on chosen status
- Employment status: RESIDENTIAL (rotational or requiring relocation)
Main Duties:
Work as part of the Electrical discipline for the facilities preparing operational maintenance activities (procedure, contracts, spare parts requirements) for electrical systems ensuring that they are technically accurate and can be executed in a safe and efficient manner in the production phase.
Develop their understanding of the operational requirements and the discipline to be ready to support operations at start-up. After start-up, ensure support to site on all topics related to Electrical.
Ensure the continuous training of Electrical Junior engineer.
Qualification:
Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years’ experience on Electrical systems and maintenance in the Oil & Gas environment, two years of which must have been spent working on an operational plant.
- A good working knowledge of office software packages such as Excel, and preferably experienced in a CMIMS (e.g. SAP, MAXIMO)
- Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have good working knowledge of codes and standards used in the industry (NEC, NEMA, ISO, IEC, ATEX, NORSOK, ASME, ASTM, API, ANSI etc.…)
- Awareness of current legislation and practices with respect to plant operation and compliance reporting
- Fluent English is mandatory
