STRUCON LIMITED is a multi-disciplinary firm specialising in Civil and Building Construction, Engineering Consultancy, Planning, Property Management, and the Supply of Civil Engineering Materials. We undertake a broad range of services, including feasibility studies, surveys, design, tender documentation, bills of quantities, bid evaluation, construction supervision, project management, and material supply. We are seeking qualified, dynamic, and results-oriented individuals to join our growing team in the position below.
Position: Site Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
The Site Engineer will be responsible for the effective and timely execution of construction works on site, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with design specifications. Duties shall include:
- Supervising and managing day-to-day site activities and construction works
- Interpreting and implementing construction drawings and specifications
- Coordinating with the design team, project manager, and subcontractors to ensure work progresses according to schedule
- Monitoring quality of works and ensuring compliance with approved materials, methods, and workmanship standards
- Preparing and updating daily site reports, progress records, and work measurements
- Ensuring adherence to site health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies
- Managing site resources, including labour, materials, and equipment
- Conducting site inspections and ensuring rectification of any defects or deviations
- Coordinating with suppliers and tracking delivery of construction materials
- Supporting project documentation and handover processes
- Any other duties assigned by the project engineer or site manage
Qualifications and Skills:
- Higher Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from a recognized institution
- A minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in civil works supervision, construction management, or site engineering
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Good knowledge of construction standards, codes of practice, and HSE regulations
- Competency in using engineering software and project tools (AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to manage construction teams, subcontractors, and site logistics
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Must be willing to work on remote project sites and under minimal supervision
