To collect, analyze, and interpret data to support statistical reporting and evidence-based decision-making within the Authority.

2. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Collect and compile data from various sources for statistical analysis and reporting.

ii. Apply statistical methods to analyse data and identify trends, patterns, and insights.

iii. Maintain and update statistical databases and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

iv. Generate statistical reports and dashboards to support planning and decision-making.

v. Develop data collection instruments, including surveys and questionnaires, in line with the Authority's needs

vi. Conduct quality assurance checks on data collection and analysis processes.

vii. Support departments in the use of statistical tools and techniques for project evaluation and reporting. viii.Contribute to the preparation of periodic performance and compliance reports.

ix. Ensure compliance with statistical standards and best practices.

x. Provide technical support in data visualization and presentation for stakeholders.

3. PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

A. Qualifications

i. Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field from a recognized institution.

B. Experience i. No Experience required C. Competencies 

i. Knowledge and understanding of the Authority’s vision, mission, and objectives.

ii. Proficiency in statistical software and tools (e.g., SPSS, STATA, R, Python, or Excel).

iii. Ability to collect, organize, and analyse complex datasets accurately.

iv. Knowledge of data management and quality assurance practices

v. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

vi. Excellent communication and report writing skills.

vii. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

viii.Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.

ix. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

x. Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality
