The Embassy of the Republic of Korea is seeking a self-motivated and versatile individual to fill the position of Temporary Local Administrative Officer – Consular Receptionist. Applicant must have valid residence status in Uganda. The working language is primarily English, but knowledge of Korean language and culture is preferable.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors at the Consular Section.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming telephone calls, providing basic information regarding consular services.
- Receive and process civil complaints and consular applications (e.g., visas, passports, notarizations).
- Manage official correspondence and Consular records (filing, document processing, and organizing paperwork).
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Consular Section.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant disciplines.
- Previous experience in reception, customer service, or administrative roles.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including an ability to deal effectively and diplomatically with visitors.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality and excellent organizational skill.
- Proficiency in administrative tools and office management software (MS Word, Excel, etc.).
