Background

We are looking for a strategic, relationship-driven Volunteer Partnerships Strategist to help Wekume build and grow a strong partnership ecosystem that accelerates our mission of improving access to sexual and reproductive health information and services for young people.

You'll work closely with the leadership team, outreach teams, and campus ambassadors to build partnerships that strengthen our programs, expand our reach, and unlock opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage partnerships with universities, student communities, NGOs, government institutions, donors, and corporate organizations
  • Identify and onboard student-focused businesses and brands into the Wekume rewards ecosystem
  • Develop relationships with donors, foundations, and CSR partners to support funding opportunities
  • Support proposal development, partnership pitches, sponsorship requests, and donor engagement efforts
  • Build and strengthen referral networks with technical and health-focused partners
  • Support campus activations, awareness campaigns, and community engagement initiatives
  • Track partnership performance and key metrics across partner categories

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in partnerships, business development, fundraising, external relations, or related areas
  • Experience across at least two of the following: donor engagement, government liaison, university partnerships, or NGO/corporate collaboration
  • Strong proposal writing, pitching, networking, and negotiation skills
  • Understanding of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and challenges affecting young people
  • Ability to communicate impact and build compelling value propositions for different stakeholders
  • Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable building relationships from the ground up
  • Willingness to travel for meetings and engagement activities where needed

Based in Uganda or available to work remotely.
