Job Summary

To supervise and control the log yard and weighbridge so that every log is accurately measured before processing, stuck and recovery figures are accurate, honest and independently verifiable, production is properly supervised to the approved product mix, and the yard is safe, clean and well-ordered. The post-holder is accountable for supervising the work not personally performing and for protecting the integrity of the operational records on which the Company's costing and worker pay depend

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in forestry, wood science/technology, logistics stores/inventory management business or a related field A degree is an added advantage
• At least 2-3 years hands on experience in a sawmil, timber yard, stores ur production and logistics uewirenment
• Strong numeracy and accuracy competent in record keeping basic computar use and E Dita entry
• Unquestionatie integrity and honesty
• Krowlege of timber scaling/measurement and recovery concepts, understanding ciclupational safety
