FINCA is looking for dynamic people to join their team of professionals as Youth Segment Manager. Details are highlighted as follows:

Report to: Program Manager – Youth

SUMMARY

The Youth Segment Manager will be driving sales origination, client and partnership engagement, effectively communicating the value proposition for Women and Youth, fostering strong client relationships, identifying and quantifying opportunities for revenue growth and balance sheet improvement with a focus of on-boarding youths, tracking the pipeline particularly for significant opportunities involving the youth.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Client Acquisition
  • Executing against the agreed budget with a specific focus on delivering the customer numbers, balance sheet and revenue members.
  • Originating, tracking and managing pipeline of identified women and Youth clients and partners.
  • Organizing market activations and business forums for women and Youth business.
  • On-boarding strategic partners/MOU’s to support with client acquisition.
  • Continuously providing insights into the pockets of opportunity as relates to women and Youth.
  • Developing and implementing appropriate action plans to increase market share of the youth segment.
  • Supporting the actions geared towards ensuring a consistent and superior customer experience that is a key differentiator and competitive advantage.
  • Ensuring that the solution resonates with the target market.
  1. Segment Insight
  • Thoroughly understanding the needs and requirements of Women and Youth in different segments including but not limited to the market size, market growth, market shares, market potential for FINCA Uganda, customer profiles and customer profitability.
  • Influencing/shaping research projects.
  • Proactively assessing market trends, attitudes and aspirations to anticipate changes and continue to offer appropriate and competitive solutions to a discerning customer base.
  1. Execution
  • Ensuring that Women and Youth Proposition is clearly communicated to all stakeholders and that clients receive an efficient and superior service offering through effective implementation.
  • Supporting the Women and Youth team in driving the adoption and delivery of the value proposition within the Branch network.
  • Supporting the various Women and Youth engagements with customers.
  • Involving in solution enhancements.
  1. Segments Management
  • Implementing action plans to meet targets set for incentive campaigns.
  • Supporting collaboration with the multiple stakeholders to deliver superior customer solutions.
  • Effectively and timeously attending to customer queries, complaints and escalations as required.
  1. Risk Management
  • Identifying and managing business risks from both a customer and bank perspective by ensuring that appropriate control mechanisms are in place to minimize risk exposure.
  • Continuously reviewing of impairments for loan products across the Youth portfolio particularly in key product lines and ensure appropriate recommendations are made to guide growth in less riskier segments.

       Qualification

  1. A bachelor’s degree in business administration, development studies and any other related fields.
  2. Minimum of 3 years’ sales/marketing experience and in-depth knowledge of women and youth banking offerings, including micro finance products and services.
  3. Thorough understanding of competitor offerings and strategies targeting women and youth banking.
  4. Experience in managing local markets, sales principles and practices to drive growth and retention.
