Incorporated in 2010, it was later granted a license to operate as a deposit-taking institution in 2015 and renamed Yako Microfinance (U) Limited. The bank aims to provide affordable financial services to its clients through innovation and professional staff, with a vision to become the most trusted financial institution in East Africa. Yako Bank has three branches located in Kampala and Jinja, including its head office at Forest Mall and branches at Raja Chambers and Jinja Main Street
