OVERVIEW

THE ROLE
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • File & ensure safe custody of documents in a manner that enables easy retrieval both in the archives and Document Management System (DMS).
  • Support the accountant to prepare General Ledger (GLACOS) files.
  • Retrieve audit, VAT, etc. documents as required for reporting purposes.
  • Support the senior accountant on monthly effort reporting.
  • Assist in preparing journal entries for cost reclassification.
  • Provide support in tax filing and documentation.
  • Verify expenditure documentation.
  • Execute any other relevant tasks as assigned.

To be a strong supporter and advocate for children in this role, you will need to have:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Commerce (BCOM), Business Administration (BBA-Accounting), Science in Accounting, or any other related field. Candidates should have graduated not more than two (2) years at the time of applying.
  • Ability to establish and maintain conducive collegial relations and perform effectively as a member of a team.
  • Skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Commitment to Save the Children values.
