Description
Biyinzika Poultry International Limited is hiring an Assistant Inventory Officer to to assist Inventory accountant and Inventory manager in ensuring that all stock movements and related transactions are posted real time in the company system. The job holder will manage operational areas under the rules, regulations and guidelines of BPUL while ensuring the accomplishment of goals and targets given by Management.

Finance Manager – Services
Duty station:
Kigunga – Mukono Office
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in real time posting of all the abattoir Inventory movements/transactions in the system.
- Assist in Daily reconciliations of all stock posted in the system verses the manual documents used for transfer
- Assist the dispatch supervisor (sales) in reconciling the self-pickup customers making sure they all get invoiced, and the sales point agrees
- Reconciling sales returns, getting clear explanations of why, helping in resolving issues relating to wrong posting and reversals in the system
- Assists the inventory officer in the end month processes i.e. Stock taking at the abattoir, reconciling physical stock verses system figures to ascertain variances if any.
- Monitor/Reconciles the crates used in all the abattoir operations, giving explanations for any variances and updating the inventory manager of the customers holding crates and for what reasons.
- Ensuring proper documentation relating to all abattoir transactions i.e. Making sure that all ISTs have invoices before filling.
- Daily reconciliation of stock issued vs invoiced to ascertain individual customers drip loss
- Updating the inventory manager of the quantity (stock volumes) issued from the abattoir and all the Cold-rooms on a daily.
- Assist the inventory officer in stock reconciliations at the end of the month
- Assisting the inventory officer with ideas and ways of handling inventory in the abattoir i.e., new controls like in dispatch operations, and the Cold room organisation.
- Any other roles assigned from time to time.
- Evidence of system generated documents for all Abattoir transactions.
- Daily, weekly and monthly inventory-dispatch related issues log and solutions
- Crate management report on a regular basis
- Evidence of participation in monthly Abattoir stock count sheets.
- Individual customer stock transfers, invoices posted and drip losses report on a daily to help in decision making
- Filling and achieving all Abattoir documents
Education:
- Degree/Diploma in Business Administration (Accounting/Finance) or any other related fields.
- At least 3 years of working experience in inventory management and stock control.
Skills and Experience:
- Basic skills in arithmetic
- Minimum of 1-2 years in similar accounting position in a busy commercial organisation
- Computer literacy especially accounting systems
- Interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to work long hours
- Product and customer awareness
- Detail oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy
