At HMH- Kuku, We believe shared prosperity begins with people who care. We are looking for an Assistant Veterinary Officer who is passionate in Animal Welfare and Health.
What You'll Do
Biosecurity & Flock health – Enforce Strict biosecurity standard, ensure all poultry houses are cleaned or disinfected before placement, Conduct Regular Farm and OGS Visit to monitor flock health and investigate, document and report abnormal mortality to Vet doctor.
Vaccination, Medication & Disease Control – Implement and monitor approved vaccination and medication schedules, conduct post-mortems and mortality surveys, collect and submit blood, swab and diagnostic samples to laboratories and monitor vaccine cold – chain temperature loggers.
Records, Reporting & Stock Control – maintain accurate health, treatment and biosecurity, track vet stock dispatches and update on Navision weekly, conduct weekly stock takes FIFO Principles and submit weekly farm visit, stock and mortality report
Training and Compliance – Train farm and OGS staffs on biosecurity, diseases control, maintain training registers & audit report and ensure compliance with veterinary laws, SOPs and company standards,
Quality Assurance – Conduct chick quality assessments at placement and monitor environmental conditions and hygiene standard across farms and OGS.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine from a recognized institution.
Minimum of 3 years' experience, including at least 2 years in poultry.
Strong knowledge of poultry health and biosecurity.
Computer literacy (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
Attention to details, good communication & interpersonal skills.
