Job  Summary:

The Branch Manager will be responsible for the overall operations of the branch, customer service and relationship management, marketing the company’s products and supervising the staff at the Branch in line with the strategies and policies of Asaak.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Managing a diverse operational team.
  • Cascade targets for all staff in the branch and decide on plans and tactics to achieve them.
  • Ensure the safety and maintenance of branch assets, provide effective oversight and general administration to all branch staff.
  • Increase customer retention and branch growth through aggressive sales of the company's products, thereby promoting an optimum build-up of revenue in line with the branch targets and Asaak business objectives.
  • Manage or attend branch committee meetings and guide the staff into making good and productive decisions.
  • Conduct market intelligence and competitor analyses within the branch’s area of operation in order to prepare marketing plans and strategies, with the objective of identifying business opportunities and maximizing them to achieve targeted branch growth in line with the company’s business goals and objectives.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of performance levels against approved budgets and prepare branch performance reports.
  • Conduct periodic control assessments and spot checks at the branch and work closely with the credit team in loan reconciliations, risk assessments, and analysis geared towards achieving a great portfolio quality.
  • Oversee operational activities at the branch to ensure that risk is effectively managed in all branch operations and enforce strict adherence to the operational policies and guidelines in order to achieve satisfactory audit and compliance ratings.
  • Recommend development and review of various products and operational processes based on comments from branch staff, customer feedback and market research, to support Asaak in serving its customers better in line with the business objectives.
  • Monitor and implement compliance to the credit risk framework through comprehensive loan appraisal and monitoring, aggressive follow-ups on defaulters and proactively managing borrowers in order to maintain portfolio asset quality within acceptable levels in line with credit policies and business goals.
  • Budget for and manage costs at the branch by guaranteeing optimum utilization of resources both material and human capital available for business operations, ensuring that they are within the approved budget in line with finance policies and procedures.
  • Interact with customers regarding Asaak products, pricing including developing and managing customer relationships through activities such as periodic client visits
  • Improve customer service quality results at the branch by studying, evaluating, and re-designing customer care strategies, establishing and communicating service metrics, monitoring and analyzing results, and implementing changes in line with Asaak's goals and objectives.
  • Build, develop, and motivate a high-performance team committed to achieving success through each other by coaching, mentoring, evaluating the branch staff and identifying staff training needs.

Qualifications or requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing or a related field
  • Professional or post-graduate qualifications in Finance, Marketing or related fields are an added advantage
  • 3-5 years of proven branch management experience or a similar role
  • Strong track record in Direct Selling, Sales Management and Relationship Management
  • Sufficient knowledge of modern management techniques and best practices
  • Familiarity with the industry’s rules and regulations
  • Great organizational skills, ability to multitask and excellent time management skills
  • Should be results driven and committed to customer service and satisfaction.
  • Show strong attention to detail.
