WHAT YOU WILL DO
Build and manage partnerships in Kampala that generate B2B training/consulting opportunities with hotels and hospitality businesses, establish a reliable student pipeline through high schools and related institutions, and support student placements by securing quality internship/attachment opportunities in Kampala.
Location: Kampala, Uganda (Satellite Office)
Reports to: Marketing, Admissions & Partnerships Officer
Type: Full-time
Compensation: Compensation includes a monthly retainer and a competitive, results-based bonus structure paid in USD.
Your key Responsibilities:
1) Hotel and corporate partnerships (B2B training & consulting)
- Identify, approach, and transfer leads from hotels and hospitality businesses for staff training, upskilling, and consulting services.
- Assist to conduct needs assessments with HR/operations leaders that translate needs into clear training/consulting proposals with the Boma College team.
- Assist to manage the partnership cycle end-to-end: outreach, meetings, follow-ups, negotiation support, and closing MOUs/agreements.
- Maintain active relationships through regular check-ins, partner feedback loops, and renewal/upsell conversations.
- Track all opportunities accurately (contacts, stage, next steps, timelines) and ensure professional, consistent partner communication.
- Identify trainers who can be developed to deliver basic training
2) High school engagement and student pipeline
- Build relationships with targeted high schools, career offices, proprietors, education networks, and relevant community organizations.
- Plan and deliver recruitment activities: career talks, open days, guidance counselor briefings, parent sessions, and education fairs.
- Coordinate with Admissions/Marketing Office in Nairobi to track leads from Uganda through application and enrollment.
- Maintain a structured calendar of school visits and pipeline activity, with clear follow-up and conversion tracking.
3) Internship/placement support (Kampala)
- Assist to source and secure internship/industrial attachment opportunities for students in Kampala (hotels and related employers).
- Conduct employer and student check-ins to support performance, resolve issues early, and protect partner relationships.
- Collect employer evaluations and student feedback; share insights with the Placement Office to improve placement quality.
4) Reporting, administration, and coordination
- Maintain an up-to-date partnerships and placements database (CRM/spreadsheets): meeting notes, MOUs, opportunities, internship slots, and outcomes.
- Provide weekly activity updates and monthly KPI reports (pipeline, conversions, placements, partner satisfaction).
- Share Uganda’s market intelligence with leadership: competitor activity, demand trends, and partnership opportunities.
- Participate in planning and review meetings with the main campus team and support execution of agreed priorities.
Key performance indicators (KPIs)
- B2B partnerships: number of active hotel/corporate partners signed; partner retention/renewal rate.
- B2B results: value and velocity of the qualified opportunity pipeline; proposals submitted; close rate (as applicable).
- Student pipeline: number of active school partners; number of outreach events; qualified leads; lead-to-application and application-to-enrollment conversion.
- Internship capacity: confirmed internship slots per intake; placement fill rate; supervisor/employer satisfaction rating.
- Quality and responsiveness: turnaround time on partner requests; issue resolution time; completeness and accuracy of records.
THE SKILLS AND COMPETENCES WE ARE LOOKING FOR: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum requirements:
Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, Education, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, employer relations, sales/account management, or institutional outreach (hospitality experience strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to build networks and close partnership agreements in Uganda
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong reporting discipline and comfort with CRMs/spreadsheets and structured follow-up.
Preferred
- Experience selling training/consulting services to organizations (B2B).
- Experience working with high schools (recruitment, career guidance programming, outreach).
- Experience coordinating internships/attachments and managing employer relationships.
