Its Advisory arm offers investment advice, develops investable business cases, and provides Private Sector support and Technical Assistance; some of our development clients include USAID, DFID, AfDB, and WBG IFC. Its Capital arm is currently managing projects in alternative investments (Private Equity, Real Estate, and Energy) that include Manufacturing and Shallow Geothermal Exploration, among others. Lastly, its Data arm aids the Advisory and Capital arms through digital data capture and analytics, market research, and insights to allow for actionable decision making but also provides project and data management services to external clientele.
Job Summary: Are you a creative communicator eager to advance your career in marketing, media, and brand strategy? We’re looking for a Communications Analyst Intern to join our dynamic team and grow with us!
This is an exciting opportunity for a young professional fresh out of university or in their final year with a passion for storytelling, digital media, and brand building. You’ll work closely with the strategic communications lead and senior team members to support the development and execution of communication and marketing strategies that shape how the world sees our brand.
This is a paid part-time position with the potential to transition into a full-time Analyst role, contingent upon demonstrated competence and performance after probation period.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Marketing & Brand Support
- Assist in sharing brand messages across multiple channels.
- Support the rollout of marketing campaigns and track their performance.
- Help monitor media coverage and compile campaign reports.
- Contribute ideas to boost the company’s brand awareness.
- Public Relations & Content
- Draft engaging content for social media, newsletters, and press releases.
- Support the team in maintaining positive media relations.
- Help monitor social mentions and report insights using analytics tools.
- Assist in organizing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.
- Digital Media
- Contribute to managing company digital media pages.
- Support digital campaigns aimed at growing online engagement and leads.
- Events & Internal Communications
- Work with Communications Analyst in planning and coordinating company events and launches.
- Support in-house branding activities and ensure teams follow brand guidelines.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in communications, marketing, or social media (internships count!).
- Some experience in developing and implementing communication programs is a plus.
- Certifications in communications or marketing from accredited institutions are an added advantage (e.g. CIM L3 or L4, Google Digital Garage, HubSpot Academy, etc.)
- A good writer with a creative mind and an eye for detail.
- Comfortable using digital media platforms and tools.
- Organized, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
