JOB DETAILS:
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Coordination:
- Oversee the construction of the perimeter wall, ensuring adherence to the approved structural plan.
- Coordinate site visits for potential bidders on 29th and 30th May 2025.
- Bid Evaluation & Management:
- Review and evaluate bid proposals submitted by 18th June 2025, ensuring compliance with all requirements (construction amount, detailed quantities, phases, duration, and contractor details).
- Liaise with the Managing Director’s office to select the successful bidder.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Verify that all contractors possess valid registration certificates with URSB, NCA, ERB, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with local building codes and safety standards.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors, addressing inquiries via phone (07535322436) or email.
- Notify the successful bidder by 16th July 2025 via formal email communication.
- Project Execution:
- Monitor construction phases, timelines, and quality of work to ensure timely completion.
- Resolve any on-site issues or delays promptly.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in managing construction projects, preferably perimeter walls or similar structures.
- Strong knowledge of Ugandan construction regulations and standards.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
