Dalilang Foods & Beverages is a Ugandan FMCG manufacturer producing packaged snacks, including potato crisps, gonja chips, coated peanuts and peanut butter, alongside spring water, fruit nectars and energy drinks.

Converts handwritten and manually collected factory records into accurate electronic operational data.

Supports production tracking and audit readiness by maintaining reliable database entries and organized physical filing systems.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive and review shift production sheets, machine logs, downtime reports, scrap forms, quality records, and material usage sheets for legibility and completeness.
  • Refer missing or unclear information back to the relevant supervisor for clarification rather than guessing.
  • Enter production figures, product codes, batch numbers, machine identifiers, runtime, waste, and employee hours into ERP software, spreadsheets, or approved databases.
  • Cross check entered figures against totals and source documents to identify and correct obvious inconsistencies.
  • Maintain organized physical files of original paper records to support trace retrieval during audits or investigations.
  • Prepare basic daily production reports using established standard templates without altering operational data to artificially adjust performance.
  • Communicate regularly with production supervisors, warehouse staff, quality personnel, engineering teams, and accounts staff to clarify record discrepancies.
  • Perform routine computer housekeeping by saving files in approved directories, safeguarding passwords, and reporting system issues promptly.

Skills

  • Strong keyboard skills and accurate transcription abilities
  • Basic computer proficiency including spreadsheets, email, and ERP data entry interfaces
  • Numeracy and basic data validation skills
  • Physical and electronic document filing and record retrieval
  • Clear communication skills for clarifying unclear records

Education Qualifications & Experience

Education Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Accounting, Records Management, Office Administration, Secretarial Studies, Commerce, Economics, Procurement, Production Management, or related fields
  • Certificate, National Certificate, vocational ICT qualification, computer applications certificate, or recognized office training credential in relevant disciplines
  • Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with adequate literacy, numeracy, and computer skills
  • Experience
  • No prior work experience required.
